The British Compressed Gases Association (BCGA) has issued this new guidance note which provides guidance to enable a thorough inspection, which must be carried out on portable or mobile cylinder gas equipment at suitable intervals by a competent independent safety inspector.
The guidance note cites some of the relevant legislation applicable in the UK, and it includes suggested checklists for commonly encountered items.
Premises owners, operators and inspectors of in-scope equipment should ensure they have adequate insurance to cover their activities, it says.
