Trade body offers support for self-isolation exemption process

The British Compressed Gases Association (BCGA) has issued guidance to its members on the government’s self-isolation exemption application process.

The trade body has pulled together the key points for its members, to help support their applications.

Ellen Daniels, chief executive of the BCGA, said: “In the first lockdown, BCGA members were confirmed as being involved in critical industries and key workers.

“The UK Government has now published the process to apply for an exemption from self-isolation, where self-isolation of certain employees would result in disruption to critical services. The exemption is not automatic, and we have pulled together the information and distributed it to members to help them make the necessary applications where relevant.”
